"As Christians in the Christian Reformed Church of Williamsburg we desire...
* To worship the Living Lord in communion with fellow believers, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and, to live lives that are committed to the glorification of God.
* To create a safe and caring environment and a praying community where people of all ages can be supported, nurtured and equipped in the faith to discover their God-given gifts for use in a life of service.
* To minister to our neighbours in our communities, using Christ's example, helping them in physical and spiritual needs so that they might find salvation in Christ."
We celebrate Jesus' life, death and resurrection by gathering together for worship twice on Sundays - 9:30am and 7:00pm. In particular, our morning service offers nursery services for children ages 0-3 and Sunday School for 3-5 year olds during the service. Sunday School for youth grades 1-12 occurs after the service.
Please check the special services and meetings listings to see if there are any special services planned that may preempt an evening service in the sanctuary.
Only our morning services are on DVD while both services are taped on audio cassette for those members who are unable to attend regular church services. These tapes are kept in the Church Library and may be borrowed. Please contact Neil VanderMeer by phone: 613-652-4024.
The Williamsburg congregation was organized in 1952 and the first elders were Ralph deJong, J. Geurkink Sr., and John Bosman, the first deacons of the congregation were G.J. Luimes and F.W. Harbers.
On June 27th - 29th, 1977 the 25th anniversary of the church was celebrated. The congregation continued to grow and in 1989 a group of about 55 families decided to start a daughter congregation in the Brinston area where a large concentration of members lived. This new congregation is known as the Community Christian Reformed Church of Dixon's Corners. During the night of February 28th - March 1st 1991, fire of an unknown origin totally destroyed our newly renovated church building.
During the planning and building of our new church building the Williamsburg Lutheran Church graciously shared their building with us so that we could still hold our regular Sunday services in the village of Williamsburg. The year 1992 was quite a year for the Williamsburg congregation as on February 29th we held a dedication service for our beautiful new church facility. Then, on the weekend of June 5th - 7th we celebrated the 40th Anniversary of our church with a full slate of events highlighted on Sunday with two special worship services that were attended by several of our former pastors.
Most recently, on June 2-3, 2012, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of our church, again with great festivities and a celebratory worship service. God has been faithful to Williamsburg CRC over these years and we hope to continue to be a beacon of light in our community until Jesus returns.

Growing up in rural Ontario, I always knew that I wanted to serve Jesus. During my years in Bible College, I got to know some foreign students from East Africa and in the late 90's God placed a heartbeat for Uganda inside of me. After being a nanny in the Netherlands, tutoring missionary kids in the Philippines, and serving as a support worker, the Lord finally opened the door in 2009. I went to Soroti for a one-year short-term experience and absolutely fell in love with the people and ministry variety there in northern Uganda.

Sid (and Brenda) is a graduate of Redeemer University College in Ancaster, ON and has his Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary. In his spare time Sid likes to go hiking, play hockey, dabble in gardening (the thumb is not as green as he would like it to be) and play lego with his kids. Sid is excited and challenged by the opportunity to begin a new campus ministry in Ottawa and he and his family look forward to participating in the CRC community in the Ottawa region.
