inviting people to God, community and wholeness
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
A little about the missionaries we support through our church ⬇️
Our Vision: Partner with the local church to equip and mentor young
people in the Bible to raise up a generation of Christ followers who will
reproduce themselves to transform a community!
Our Mission: To give every man, woman, and child multiple opportunities to hear, see, and respond to the Gospel.
Ministry Highlights of 2021: Recently, Moses was miraculously given a
motorcycle as a gift so that he can move around easily to carry out the Lord’s work. A colleague said he has a “dangerous anointing” and we are anxious to see how God will open doors for preaching, teaching, and discipleship. Moses continues to speak on the radio, on a program he has called “At the Well.” Karen has been plugging away at editing Roots to Fruits curriculum. We believe that if this curriculum is used well by the private schools in Uganda, this new material can transform the education system. It’s been a hard year in ministry, and many missionary friends have left the field, but God is still at work here in Gulu.

Ryan is a campus minister and chaplain serving at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Through Ottawa Campus Chaplaincy—a ministry supported by Classis Eastern Canada—he helps cultivate communities of Christian faith, witness, and exploration on campus. Ryan’s background includes experience in youth ministry and pastoral care at local churches, as well as previous work in campus ministry at Queen’s University. His educational background includes a Master of Divinity from Tyndale Seminary, certificate studies at Calvin Seminary, and undergraduate studies in pastoral ministry. He is ordained in the Christian Reformed Church but brings ecumenical experience that is particularly valuable in a campus context.
Ryan is available to meet with students and staff during office hours or by appointment throughout the week to talk about faith, Scripture, questions, doubts, and the day-to-day struggles of university life. He seeks to create a space marked by openness and attentive listening. Through an integrative and theologically Reformed lens, he works to make Ottawa Campus Chaplaincy a place of hospitality and discipleship for students in Ottawa.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys running and reading. He can often be found hiking, camping, or canoeing alongside his wife.
