I'm New Here

At Williamsburg CRC we want to make sure you feel welcomed and loved when you come visit us. Here are a few commonly-asked questions.

We are a group of ordinary people who strive to love and serve an extraordinary God because He has first loved and served us.

We desire to see people become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ and with God’s help we commit to graciously walking alongside one another on that journey. As well, we seek to be a blessing in our local and global community.

We gather to worship God Sunday morning at 9:30am ET

There is no official dress code. Some people dress somewhat casual while others dress more formal, but we do ask that people dress modestly.

In sum, we believe that it’s most important to come with a heart prepared to worship the God of the Universe.

Yes. The church is in compliance with the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and has several features that make the church fully accessible including the front entrance (electronic door opener), one large bathroom reserved for the disabled, extra walkers and wheelchairs, and wide hallways.

From the moment you first arrive, it’s our desire to make you feel at home.

One of our ushers will welcome you at the door and be able to answer any questions you might have.

UPDATE: During the reopening of public place due to COVID we follow the public healthy and safety  guidelines set by the province of Ontario. Masks are required inside the building as well as social distancing. Please stay home if you are sick.

We enjoy children at Williamsburg CRC, so if you would like to keep them with you in the worship service that is totally fine!

But if not, we have two options for you:

1.Nursery for children ages 0-3 for the entire service.

2.Sunday school for children 3-5 that begins about half-way through the worship service and ends at the conclusion of the service.

If you have any questions about where the rooms are, feel free to ask an usher.

UPDATE: During the reopening of public place due to COVID as well as regulations in Ontario there is no child care available at this moment. Please take your children with you into the service.

We like including the grade 1-12 youth in our entire service since their participation is valuable to everyone.

After the service, we have age-appropriate Sunday School classes for about ½ hour.

If you have any questions about where the rooms are, feel free to ask an usher.

UPDATE: During the reopening of public place due to COVID as well as regulations in Ontario there is no after service Sunday School available at this moment.

In a worship service our ultimate desire is to admire and thank God for who He is and what He had done for us through Jesus Christ. Therefore, like most churches around the world, our worship service includes elements like songs, prayers, Bible readings, a sermon, offering, confessions of faith and the sacraments (Baptism and Lord’s Supper).

We want our service to connect us to God’s people throughout the history of the church but also to be familiar to today’s culture. So, for example, we sing songs that were composed in the 1800’s but also ones that were composed just a year ago.

Ultimately though, the worship style isn’t what’s most important. What’s most important is hearing words of truth and grace from God and responding to Him in faith and thanksgiving.

There’s no pressure to stay, but please know that you are more than welcome to join us for some conversation over a coffee/juice in the fellowship hall. We’d enjoy getting to know you! As well, we have a library with an assortment of books and DVDs.

If you have children from grades 1-12, they’re also more than welcome to join a Sunday School class.

UPDATE: During the reopening of public place due to COVID we follow the public healthy and safety  guidelines set by the province of Ontario. Masks are required inside the building as well as social distancing. Please stay home if you are sick.  We can chat from a distance as well as outside.
